SLOW FASHION
What is Slow Fashion?
Also Known as the "Slow Movement"
01
Not Fast Fashion
Slow fashion is the opposite of fast fashion. It takes an ethical and sustainable approach to producing clothes. The slow fashion movement is a direct response to the harmful impact of fast fashion on the environment and garment workers. It advocates for making fashion choices that are kinder to people and planet.
03
Small Production Cycle
In slow fashion, we produce locally, using local workforce and resources. Quality is chosen over quantity, which means that slow fashion can reduce exploitation of resources or workers. The production chain is as transparent as possible.
02
Awareness
Slow fashion is an awareness and approach to fashion that carefully considers the processes and resources required to make clothing, and focuses on timeless, high-quality designs over trend-driven pieces destined for the landfill after a few wears
04
Sustainable
Slow (Sustainable) fashion decreases waste by making clothing that is significantly better quality. Less waste leads to both less water pollution and fewer carbon emissions during production.
